About me
My name is Elizabeth Aguilar-Patrick. I grew up in Mexico and lived in France for many years, working and studying. I have bachelor's degrees from Mexico and France and a master's degree in education from France.
My passion is to help my students learn a new language in an interactive way, with fun, practical activities, and involving day-to-day situations relevant for their age and interests.
The building of a strategy that helps my students feel comfortable thinking and speaking in Spanish and French is important to me. What I offer is the most engaging and effective activities and techniques that I have identified through my own learning and teaching experiences, and what I have learned on my path as a mother talking to her child and his friends in three different languages.
My love for Education was there ever since I can recall! Seeing my mom as the founder and principal of a Montessori kindergarten and my aunts as teachers impacted me so much that I always wanted to be a part of the wonderful world of teaching.
I completed the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Kindergarten Education in Mexico, and in France I also completed Bachelor and Master degrees in Science of Education, with concentration in Pedagogy and Training.
I've had the wonderful opportunity to teach students of all ages and in grades from kindergarten to college, working in elementary schools, high schools and college in Mexico and the United States. For example, I've been a bilingual teacher and adviser in elementary and kindergarten schools in Mexico, a Spanish teacher in high school in Rochester, NY, and a French instructor in college at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Don't let time go by... Learn the language you've always wanted to. It will help you open your eyes and your heart to a new culture, a wider world, and new friendships!
